“We are excited to now ship Kindle to…”. That’s what Amazon says when the selected country is eligible for international shipping of Wi-Fi Kindle Touch.
Till now, Amazon has limited their sells only to US markets, arousing desire in international users, who are getting more and more anxious to keep in their hands such a precious device.
Almost in silence and without making any noise Amazon released international shipping of Kindle Touch for Amazon.com for deliveries across the globe and we may count that non elegible Countries will soon sell Kindle Touch directly on their Amazon national portal. Just think that for UE, non elegible are: France, the Uk, Italy, Spain, Germany, where Amazon national portals are gaining a growing number of addicted customers.
There’s a long list of elected countries (for UE: Netherlands, Bulgaria, Portugal, Greece, Denmark, Belgium, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Estonia, Finland, Hungary, Ireland, Latvia, Lithuania, Malta, Poland, Romania, Slovakia, Slovenia and Sweden; across the world: Argentina, Australia, Canada, Mexico, India, South Africa, Thailand).
In order to check if your Country is among the elected ones, remember to click on the below link “Live outside the U.S.? Kindle Touch is available to ship outside of the U.S. from this page”, then indicate your Country in the window selection and check if Amazon is excited to welcome you on international shipping.
If your Region is not among the elected ones, you will be shown an apparently unpleasant sentence “Unfortunately, we are currently unable to ship Kindles or offer Kindle content in…..”, which makes us think that Amazon is confident in listing the device directly on Amazon Country-specific portals, with a big saving of customs and transport costs for users.
As usual, electronic fellows may stay patient and tuned! A bad news may be a prelude to the great news of 2012: Amazon.fr, Amazon.it, Amazon.de, Amazon.co.uk and Amazon.es might short-term sell Kindle Touch directly on their portal. It’s inconceivable that after releasing international shipping almost all over the world, Amazon decides to exclude a so big market slice: France, Italy, Germany, the UK and Spain!
Just make a wish, choose your own country, close your eyes and hope you’re among the elected ones! And if not, stay tuned! Probably you will be able to directly buy Kindle on your Country Amazon portal.
